The glimmer of the sea off the Argentario bids you good morning. The 52 rooms and suites of the Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola reflect the character of Tuscany through elements such as terracotta, local stone, white fabrics, and handcrafted furnishings.
At the Torre d’Argento Restaurant, every element extols the Tuscan culinary tradition. Food becomes a sublime experience for the palate, the eyes, and the soul.
The Torre di Cala Piccola Boutique Hotel sits perched above the sea of the Argentario in a panoramic position overlooking the Cala cliffs, the sea, and the islands of Giglio and Giannutri.
In 15 minutes, you can arrive in Porto Santo Stefano; in 30 minutes, in Porto Ercole. The structure is divided into terraces connected by stairs and vegetation. Here you can find yourself in contact with nature.
Thanks to the hill and the sea, Monte Argentario enjoys an excellent microclimate: in summer the rainfall rate is one of the lowest in all of Italy, allowing tourists to relax in a warm yet breezy climate. Before leaving, you can check the weather from our webcam.
THE HISTORY
The Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola takes its name from a Saracen tower, which was built by the Pisans in the 15th century. It is precisely from this watchtower, which has remained intact over the centuries, that the dream of the entrepreneur Carlo Bertuzzi and his partner Nina Benini began.
The couple bought the tower in 1957 and imagined a structure of great quality and hospitality, immersed in the unparalleled nature of the Argentario.
The desire came to life in 1960, when the Club Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola was born. Much more than a hotel, a restaurant, or a bar, the club was a place to enjoy the sea and escape from everyday life, with the privacy suitable to experience one’s loves, full-blown or furtive.
Over the years, the Torre di Cala Piccola was home to the passionate love of Liz Taylor and Richard Burton and hosted leading figures in politics and entertainment, becoming a popular destination for travelers from all over the world. Luxury is a state of mind. In 2019, the Torre di Cala Piccola began a process of transformation into a Boutique Hotel.
The structure aspires to offer guests an authentic Tuscan experience, in what remains a place where silence, privacy, and spectacular views of the sea from the Argentario embody true luxury. The Tower hosts a permanent exhibition on the defense of the Royal Presidia of Tuscany.

THE SENSORY PARK GARDEN
A place to find peace and reconnect with the power of nature, to recharge your body and mind. At the Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola, the green outdoor spaces have been designed to re-establish a heartfelt relationship between you and mother nature.
A space of absolute relaxation, where the local pines and Aleppo pines exude well-being. In the sensory park of the Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola, plants naturally enrich the air with monoterpenes found in the essential oils and resins, having a great impact on the body by positively stimulating the immune system.
Developed by Agronomist Marco Mencagli, one of the leading experts in the application of scientific theories expounding the relationships between green spaces and psycho-physical well-being, the park is dedicated to the Lady of Cala Piccola, Raffaella Carrà. Each year, the space is enriched with additional species, with a view to creating a sublime and welcoming oasis.
Meandering through the sensory forest, slowly breathing in the air rich in monoterpenes, helps calm the soul. Within the woods, the pathway suggests activities to stimulate the senses.
Walk amongst the plants, slow down to observe the light filtering through the canopy of the trees, to listen to the waves of the sea, to enjoy the singing of the birds and delight in your very own Forest Bathing session.

DISCOVER THE ARGENTARIO
The Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola is located in the Argentario, the most fascinating seaside tourist destination on the Tuscan coast. The Argentario is a splendid promontory that overlooks the islands of Giglio and Giannutri and is connected to Tuscany by the sandy isthmuses of Giannella and Feniglia, which border the Orbetello dam.
The Argentario is the ideal location for those who love a relaxing experience amidst lush and unrivaled nature, hidden coves and beaches, and breathtaking views.
FENIGLIA & GIANNELLA
Six kilometers of white sand form an isthmus that connects the Argentario to Orbetello, which lies in front of a forest of pine trees and protected species. Feniglia is a natural beach suitable for the whole family. Giannella, the other stretch of sand that connects the Argentario to Tuscany, is an 8 km beach perfect for sailing sports.
PORTO SANTO STEFANO & PORTO ERCOLE
Filled with small streets, squares, and shops, Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole are ancient seaside villages, positioned like two balconies facing out from the promontory. The first is the seat of the Municipality of Argentario, a picturesque tourist location that was even enjoyed by the inhabitants of Imperial Rome.
Porto Ercole is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, gathered inside the walls at the foot of the Spanish Fortress. The boats and yachts which encircle the village do not disrupt the sweet and familiar atmosphere of the small center, where it is still possible to encounter fishermen with silver hair and nets in their hands.
THE TUSCAN ARCHIPELAGO
The Tuscan Archipelago is a triumph of flourishing nature and crystal-clear waters. Legend has it that the Goddess Venus, emerging from the Tyrrhenian Sea, let seven magnificent pearls of her necklace fall into the sea: Elba, Giglio, Giannutri, Montecristo, Capraia, Pianosa and Gorgona. Mini cruises depart from the Argentario every week to discover these amazing islands.
GOLF & POLO
For sports lovers, it will be a real treat to play polo and golf amidst the nature of the Argentario. Guests of the Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola enjoy privileged access to some of the most exclusive sports centers on the promontory.
