LEGNAIA SUITE
The new Legnaia Suite is located in the building once used by the villagers for storing their timber reserves for the winter months. Positioned at the most northerly point of San Felice, it enables guests to experience the typical lifestyle of a Tuscan village and also enjoy the privacy that they seek.

With a panoramic view of the vineyards and hills of the Chianti region and a spacious private garden, the Suite occupies two floors and is fitted with two bathrooms. Design furnishings and refined luxury, fabrics in warm, natural colours and a pergola that lends itself perfectly to relaxation or exclusive fine dining experiences.

VILLAS
For those wishing to enjoy a full immersion in the Tuscan countryside with a more intimate and independent solution, Borgo San Felice offers two magnificent properties: Villa Casanova and Villa Colonna, both located no more than a few steps away from the village, looking out onto the verdant hills of Chianti Classico and surrounded by rows of cypress trees and olive groves.

VILLA CASANOVA
Just outside the village, positioned higher up than the vineyards and olive groves, stands Villa Casanova, with 3 well appointed apartments for a total of 9 rooms, complete with a large garden and outdoor pool: an alternative solution for small groups of guests who wish to stay at Borgo San Felice in a more independent manner, while having access to the hotel services.

Earthy Tuscan colours have been selected for the fabrics, locally crafted ceramic tiles and exposed beams… you will be charmed by each detail of the décor.

THE RESTAURANTS
The fine dining offering of Borgo San Felice has been renewed thanks to an important partnership set up with Chef Enrico Bartolini and with Executive Chef Juan Camilo Quintero: an encounter of excellence in the name of the most authentic tradition, artfully dosed with innovation and a dash of international flavour.

The excellent style of cuisine signed by Chef Bartolini and executed by Chef Quintero leaves its mark on both restaurants of the Relais & Châteaux Borgo San Felice: Il Poggio Rosso, is deeply rooted in the territory and aligned with local traditions, which are nevertheless interpreted with a decidedly international twist.

For a simpler form of cuisine, with more of a family spirit, the Osteria del Grigio offers interesting reinterpretations of traditional fare both at lunchtime and in the evening. Throughout the day, the Bar Archi all’Aperto remains open for guests wishing to order a light lunch or a poolside snack.

THE CHEF
Juan Camilo Quintero, of Columbian origin and a decidedly international background, having worked alongside Chefs of the ilk of Bottura and Arzak, as Executive Chef of Borgo San Felice manages both restaurants: Il Poggio Rosso and the Osteria del Grigio.

Chef Enrico Bartolini is interpreted by the talented Quintero in the form of an elegant gourmet experience, defined by assertive yet simple flavours in line with local traditions and imbued with a strong spirit of innovation.

The intent is to draw from the Tuscan culinary tradition, using ingredients that are closely associated with the region, while interpreting them in a cosmopolitan key, with simplicity and respect for each individual flavour, to offer guests authentic “tasting experiences” that are both elegant and consistent.

POGGIO ROSSO
Every dish presented at Il Poggio Rosso of Borgo San Felice, is based on carefully selected prime quality ingredients which are sourced locally, from a region whose food production is one of a kind and testifies to a culinary tradition of excellence.

The flavours and aromas of tradition are reinterpreted in an international key under the expert guidance of Executive Chef Juan Camilo Quintero, enabling guests to enjoy an authentic gourmet experience with a pronounced spirit of innovation.

OSTERIA DEL GRIGIO
Appointed in a cosy and informal style, with wrought iron lamps and terraces shaded from the sun and framed by vine shoots, the Osteria del Grigio welcomes guests in the romantic atmosphere of the Chianti countryside.

The menu, typically based on local cuisine, seduces the palate with its sincerity and flavours of times gone by, as well as the genuineness of the ingredients employed – some of which come from the Orto Felice, the social vegetable garden of the estate, whose significant internal production follows the flow of the seasons.

The counter top with 5 seats, which faces the new kitchen on full view to the dining room, enables diners to interact directly with the brigade, and to see them at work preparing each dish. The pizza oven and grill allow for the preparation of tasty dishes with an authentic flavour.

THE WINE CELLAR
On entering the ancient wine cellars,now restored and renovated,the “San Felice Method” is immediately perceptible. This avant-garde operational model, fruit of significant collaborations with Italian Universities, effectively integrates tradition and scientific innovation.

The wine cellars represent the treasure trove of the San Felice Estate, which produces 20 superb pluri-awarded labels.

WINES & OILS
The San Felice agricultural firm with its 147 hectares of vineyardsin the Chianti Classico and Montalcino areas is an authoritative name in this terroir, as well as being a model of environmental protection and sustainability.

Its highly prestigious wines are produced according to the “San Felice method”, based on a strict scientific protocol deriving from the firm’s collaboration with various Universities and associated with a valorisation of autochthonous varietals and Sangiovese.

Its top labels, of international renown, are “Vigorello”, the first Super Tuscan, “Il Grigio” and the “Poggio Rosso”, acclaimed Chianti Classico wines, and the Brunello “Campogiovanni”.

BAR ARCHI
The Bar Archi is one of the most popular gathering places in this hotel de charme in Tuscany. During the autumn season, guests can settle on the sofas to enjoy a moment of relaxation while reading a good book accompanied by a glass of wine and a snack.

At 5 pm, tea is served with the Chef’s pastries and, a little later, the barman is on hand for mixing cocktails or serving aperitifs. When the weather is fine and the temperatures are pleasantly mild, the Bar Archi relocates to the poolside and becomes the Open-air Bar Archi.

ORTO FELICE
Orto Felice, the natural garden of the village, occupies an important place in the running of this Relais & Châteaux, involving the hotel guests and staff. Besides, this is where most of the fruit and vegetables come from which are destined for use by Executive Chef in the kitchens of San Felice.

The Orto Felice also performs a “social” function since it engages the elderly residents of the area and some disabled young people: in fact it is part of a wider project going under the name of “L’orto e l’aia nel Borgo”, assisted by Sonia Belluardo a field in which four “special young people“ grow local seasonal vegetables.

MEDICINAL HERB GARDEN
The Medicinal Herb Garden at Borgo San Felice has a long-established history: the farm labourers of this small village used to grow herbs here in past centuries for medicinal purposes. All these gifts of nature find their way into the culinary expressions of the two restaurants at Borgo San Felice, the Poggio Rosso restaurant and the Osteria del Grigio.

SPA & WELLNESS
The hotel’s Spa stands on an area that used to be the ancient village olive press, whose past is still evidenced byvaulted ceilings, high windows and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Extending over a total surface area of 350 sq m, it offers two wellness trails – the wet zone with bio-saunasand the Kneipp trail, a relaxation area and four cubicles for treatments, also for couples.

Two product lines are used for treatments: the professional Comfort Zone line, an Italian cosmetics brand based on solid scientific principles and guided by research into excellence and sustainability, values that are also reflected in the approach of this Tuscan Relais & Châteaux establishment.

Sports enthusiasts are free to use the 70 sq m fitness centre with cutting-edge Technogym machinery designed specifically for working out indoors.

For Catholic weddings, the future bride and groom may choose between two churches in the village: the VIII century Romanesque Parish Churchand the XVIII century Magdalene Chapel.

MEETINGS
Borgo San Felice provides two conference rooms: Sala dei Barberi and the Sala Camino.

Sala dei Barberi (182 sq m) is graced by a large French window flooding the room with natural light and can seat up to 120 people in traditional rows or 80 people in a U-shaped arrangement. There is also an audio and video control station (outside the room), a fixed installation video projector for connecting to a PC with remote controlled VGA output, fixed and mobile microphones, a 3×3 m recessed projector screen, amplification systems, a flip chart, high speed Wi-Fi connection free of charge. If required a simultaneous interpretation service can also be provided.

The Sala Camino (58 sq m), which is annexed to the Sala dei Barberi, can seat up to 30 people in traditional rows and 15 people around one table. Room equipment: a portable video projector for connecting to a PC with remote controlled VGA output, a 3×3 m or 2×2 m portable screen, an audio system with two portable loudspeakers and 1 mixer, a flipchart and high-speed Wi-Fi connection free of charge. Both rooms have direct access to the outdoor area and look out onto the Tuscan vineyards and hills.

The Sala Pugnitello is located close to the wine cellars and provides the ideal solution for cocktails, informal dinners with menus based on local specialities, and wine and olive oil tasting sessions featuring our own products. This refined setting with its family atmosphere offers a fascinating view of the casks in our cellars.

On request, it is possible to organize team building activities. Spacious parking facilities are available.

The guests of Borgo San Felice who are keen to discover the secrets of wine or gen up on this fascinating subject may book a guided tour with an expert oenologist of Agricola San Felice.

The visit comprises a tour of the vineyards and wine cellars, together with a tasting session. At the wine shop of Agricola San Felice it is also possible to buy wines produced in the vineyards nearby or choose from a selection of oils and grappa of our own production.

HARVEST (1st—30th SEPTEMBER) 
Guided tour of the aging cellar and walk through the vineyards. Wine tasting in the pergola in our vegetable garden «Orto Felice» together with a Wine Educator and tasting of the new vintages of 3 wines produced from the visited vineyards: Poggio Rosso Chianti Classcio Gran Selezione DOCG 2016, Il Grigio Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2016, Pugnitello IGT 2016. Pairing with a selection of tastings prepared by our Chef Juan Camilo Quintero.

Borgo San Felice is the ideal place in which to practise outdoor sports, which is yet another way to enjoy the favourable climate, enchanting villages and the natural environment of this area.

Indeed, the beautiful surrounding landscape is an invitation to get out and about – along well markedfootpathsof various levels of difficulty-from quiet walks to proper training sessions for expert runners and more or less challenging bicycle rides (incidentally, various models are available to guests on request).
