Location
The hotel is not located in a restricted traffic area. It is not in the ZTL area. It can be reached by car without going through the gates. Enter Via Cavour or Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore as a reference point in the navigator.
Arrived at the Basilica square, turn left onto Via Liberiana and take the second street on the right, Via Paolina. The continuation of this road is Via Sforza.
The hotel is located approximately 20 meters on the right hand side. It is possible to leave the car in places with blue stripes, otherwise in a parking lot about 180 meters from the hotel.
Rooms
An old style to live Rome in the most classic way: The Hotel Colosseum has 50 rooms furnished with Italian antique furniture supplied with all the necessary facilities making your stay an unforgettable event.
Each room is provided with air conditioning, private bath with shower, Sat-tv, internet access and safe. Some rooms have balconies facing the old town centre of Rome.
Besides the plug for the internet access via modem available in the rooms, the Hotel Colosseum is also covered by the internet connection. Double Room, equipped with air conditioning with individual control, Wi-Fi Connection, safe, direct phone line, satellite TV, hairdryer.
The Terrace
Our furnished Rooftop, open throughout the year, can be used by guests to relax away from the chaos of the city, while enjoying one of the most stunning views of the Eternal City: romantic rooftops, the Colosseum, the Imperial Fora and the magnificence of Archaeological Rome; the massive basilica domes and, in the distance, the Castelli Romani hill towns.
After a long day visiting Rome’s treasures, the terrace bar, open from March to November, is the ideal place to relax and refresh with excellent cocktails, nibbles and snacks.
During the months the bar is closed, guests can use the outside phone to order their drinks from the Hall Bar, which will then be brought to you on the terrace by our staff.
Meetings
The Hotel Colosseum has three comfortable conference rooms with reception area and an internet point. The conference facilities are provided with an amplification/audio system, overhead projector, marker board and screen together with an internet connection with wi-fi and adsl by cable.
It’s possible to rent PC, video projector and laptop. On request it’s possible to organize coffee breaks or lunch, alternatively we are able to make reservations in an affiliated restaurant located within walking distance. We can also organise a hostess service and sightseeing tours of the city.
One of the meeting rooms is able to hold 50 people, the other 30. The two meeting rooms can be joined into a single facility of up to 80 seats. We also have conference rooms contracted outside our property, from 100 to 230 seats with large areas of exhibition area.
