This spectacular and elegant 75 m2 room is divided into two areas and features spectacular views of the garden and surrounding valley. It is the palace’s master suite. The décor retains the essence of the past but with a fully revamped design.
Perfect for couples, the room can also be connected to a superior room to accommodate families with children. The suite has a spacious bedroom with a king-size four-poster bed, dressing room, bathroom and a spacious living room with a sitting area and dining table.

FAMILY ROOM
The ideal environment for a family. 110 m2 divided into three spaces; two spacious bedrooms each with a dressing room and private bathroom connected by a large living room with a seating area and a dining table. A King-size bed awaits you in the main room, and two separate beds in the children’s room.
It is the most exclusive room in the Palace, with beautiful views of the garden and the valley. The decoration maintains the historical and original essence of the building with a contemporary and renewed touch. - Pasai Donibale. 35 minutes from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: This unique fishing village is built around a single street that goes up, down, around, through tunnels…you can also take a small boat to visit the singular Pasai San Pedro.
- Orio. 30 min from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: The town’s fishing tradition stretches back for centuries, and its fishermen are known for catching the last whale of the Cantabrian. The town boasts a lovely historic centre and its restaurants are renowned for preparing a mouth-watering grilled sea bream. Take a quick detour on the way to the next coastal town to visit the village of Aia and its Botanical Garden, home to over 1,000 species of plants and trees, or to discover the secrets hidden in Pagoeta Natural Park.
- Zarautz. 35 minutes from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: This vibrant surfing town is home to a beach known as one of the world’s top spots for surfing. But there is room for everyone. The large, comfortable beach is ideal for families and provides an entire range of services. The boardwalk is perfect for a stroll or simply for soaking in the atmosphere on one of its many terraces. - Zumaia, Deba and Mutriku. 30 minutes from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: TheFlyschcliffs , , one of the most important natural attractions in Europe, extend along the entire stretch of coast. Thousands of stone slabs on which all the climatic, biological and geological events of the past million years have been etched. You can get information on this phenomenon at the Zumaia Interpretation Centre and Nautilus Museum in Mutriku, but the best way to visit this natural attraction is along the area’s hiking trails or by boat. You can visit the Flysch to simply enjoy a panoramic view and take a photo worthy of any postcard by taking the path that starts from the Ermita de San Telmo.
INLAND GUIPUZKOA

- Tolosa (10 minutes) and Ordizia (15 minutes) markets: A must-visit on any trip to the area is one of its many traditional markets. Both the Tolosa (every Saturday morning) and the Ordizia(held every Wednesday morning) markets offer the opportunity to buy top-quality local products directly from their producers, including Tolosa beans, Ibarra chili peppers, Idiazabal cheese, cider, seasonal fruits and vegetables…
- Segura. 20 minutes from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: Its well-preserved medieval old town is worth a visit. This town is known for its religious tradition and Holy Week processions.
- Zerain. 25 minutes from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: Typical inland village with beautiful views of Mount Aizkorri. Historically, much of the town worked in the iron mines; today, the tourist office organises activities and excursions to discover the secrets of Iron Mountain.
- Zegama. 30 minutes from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: All you need to get to the San Adrián Tunnel is comfortable shoes and a bit of exercise. But the effort is well worth it, because a bucolic landscape and a wonderful Roman road are waiting on the other side of the tunnel.
- Ezkio. 25 minutes from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: The town is home to the Igartubeiti Farmhouse Museum, a 16th-century building that showcases the environment, atmosphere, furniture and tools of the time. A great way to discover Basque traditions and culture.
- Loyola Sanctuary . 20 minutes from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: A magnificent baroque sanctuary built in honour of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuit order. Take a stroll through the gardens and get a first-hand look at building’s dome, high altar and Bohemian glass lamp.
- Oñati and Arantzazu Sanctuary. 40 minutes from Iriarte Jauregia Hotel: Take a fascinating stroll through the village of Oñati and enjoy its impressive Renaissance buildings, including its Sancti Spiritus University. Visitors can also take a 9-km road that winds its way to the Arantzazu Sanctuary. A perfect example of contemporary Basque art, the building has served as a work space for artists like Eduardo Chillida and Néstor Basterretxea. A magnificent building surrounded by a stunning natural environment on the slopes of Mount Aizkorri, the perfect place for a walk surrounding by nature.

- Natural spaces: Stunning geography makes Gipuzkoa home to an entire range of ways to enjoy the outdoors: hiking, mountain biking, surfing, fishing, diving, sailing, golf…Enjoy views of Monte Ernio Ernio (1,078 m) from our hotel or take an easy and scenic 2-hour walk (with an elevation gain of 500 m) to reach the top.Home to legends, the mountain offers breath-taking views of the coast and inland. Natural parks like Aiako Harria, Pagoeta, Aralar and Aizkorri offer lovely hikes suitable for the whole family as well as more demanding mountain ascents.
- Gipuzkoa by bike: Another fantastic way to explore the region is to park your car and get on a bike. The Usabal Sports Complex in Tolosa, 10 km from our hotel, has a mountain bike centre where you can pick up information on bike paths for all levels. Old railroad tracks have been converted into greenways that provide unique trails, like the Leitzaran and Arditurri, and bikers can also ride the region’s network of bike paths, including those in San Sebastián and other locations.
- Surf: La Zurriola, Zarautz, Orio, Getaria and Zumaia are famous surfing spots.

- Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James): The path marked with yellow arrows also passes through Gipuzkoa. There are two alternatives, the inland (Irún to San Adrián tunnel) and the coastal routes (Mutriku to Hondarribia).
