Carlino Cinque uncle of todays owners the Attanasio brothers rented this villa in the 30s, as his family residence, during the 2nd World War the Hotel was converted into a rest facility for allied forces by US General Mark Clark, who discovered the beauty of this small town with mythical ties and magical allure.

Long known as a modest fishing area, Positano will become after the war in the 50s and 60s a main tourist attraction, during this time many aristrocratic families from the Campania region and Lords and Ladies would visit the Miramare Hotel where the Attanasio family would welcome them to what is to become their home away from home.

Our resort has an enviable waterfront location in Positano, many of our guests come from congested cities or busy lives. We want to make sure they feel the relaxing benefits of natural space, stylish and restful interior décor.

ROOMS & SUITES
On the west side of town, The Miramare is set near the top of the “theater” that is Positano, and all rooms face the sea. They also all have terraces, whether small or large, where you’ll be tempted to spend many hours over wine and sunsets.

Décor is quintessentially, vivaciously southern Italian, with terracotta floors, floral or nautical upholstery and bedding, colorful Vietri tiles, and warm antiques.

Several of the “special” rooms have bathtubs or showers set directly against huge panoramic windows overlooking the bay. Its splendid and bright rooms are built in Positano old style with vaulted ceilings and decorated with fine antique furniture.

Most of the room terrace/balconies have gorgeous climbing flowering plants. If you happen to be travelling with children, it is possible to request a roll away bed or baby cot that will be accommodated in the double rooms and junior suites.

The Apartment guarantees space and privacy. There are two connecting independent “Standard comfort rooms”, two bathrooms with bathtub and shower, a large sitting room with sofas and armchairs, one of each opening to a comfortable bed.

THE BREAKFAST
It is served from 8am to 11am in our veranda room with sea view. Start the day with salted and sweet specialities, like croissants, fresh bread, biscuits with butter and jams, cakes freshly baked, fresh fruits and syrups, yoghurts, cereals and milk, fresh mozzarella cherry tomatoes, cheeses, hard-boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. Coffee, cappuccino, tea and fruit juices are served directly at your table.
