The three quaint parlours are ideal for cozy, intimate dinners with friends, family or your partner. Our dining room is more open and bright. In good weather we already open the glass walls in the morning. You can enjoy your breakfast and breathe the clean air.

In fall, we host regular wine tasting events in our stone cellar at our hotel in Caldaro/Kaltern. Here you can also taste local speck, sausages and chamois specialties. The stone cellar is the perfect location for Törggelen evenings, a traditional social occasion in South Tyrol.

WINERY MOSER
Viticulture has a long tradition in our family. In the sunny south of South Tyrol, we have been cultivating excellent vineyards around Lake Caldaro/Kaltern and Lake Monticolo/Montiggl for several generations. Since vinification has always been a matter close to our hearts, we fulfilled our wish of having our own winery in 2018.

The Weingut Moser is located in Pianizza di Sotto/Unterplanitzing near Caldaro/Kaltern on the Alto Adige Wine Route, about 5 minutes by car from Hotel SEELEITEN. It has 5 apartments, a farm shop and also its own farm brewery.

With the help of our cellar master Gerhard Sanin, an absolute expert in the field, the wine cellar was equipped according to the latest technical standards. Gerhard has previously created fantastic wines in internationally renowned wineries such as the “Erste & Neue” or “Tenuta Ornellaia”.

His highly professional approach, his vast experience and his exceptional talent are the cornerstone of our successful project: noble top wines made from grapes of the highest quality.

Taste the exquisite wines as part of a guided tour and tasting exclusive for hotel guests at our winery. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the grape harvest, learn more about farming, storage and maturation of the wines.

From March 2021, our beer “Mendelbier” is available and the guided tours and tastings are supplemented with the topic “beer”. SPA & WELLNESS
In our Spa Hotel in South Tyrol, water plays the main role due to the immediate proximity to the lake. In the dreamlike water worlds, the focus is on the special fascination of water, the beneficial effect and the very special wellness factor of the element water.

THE NATURAL POOL
Surrounded by olive trees, palm trees and white sandy beach, the heated natural swimming pool (15 m x 10 m) is located in the heart of the Mediterranean garden area. The crystal clear water is heated from April to the end of October and is completely chlorine-free. A sophisticated filter system cleans the water so thoroughly that you could even drink it.

Another highlight is the white Caribbean beach around the natural pool. Numerous outdoor beds invite you to soak up the sun while you sip with pleasure the cocktail served and enjoy the beautiful side of life.

THE INDOOR POOL 
In the spacious indoor adventure pool (15 m x 8 m) with its 30° C water temperature you can relax completely. Due to its size, it is ideal for all guests who prefer to swim in peace and quiet in the morning or in the evening. Afterwards, you can regain your vitality and listen to the silence in the bright relaxation area.

Our spa hotel in South Tyrol is enriched by another (spa)-highlight from 2022. On the first floor you will find an indoor-outdoor infinity pool with waterbeds, massage jets and a sandy beach.

LAKESIDE LOOP TRAIL
This hike starts at the car park at the lido. From there, go direction north until you reach Gasthaus Geier inn. Behind the inn, follow the small hiking trail. Take the road to the left and continue until you reach the vineyards. Turn right, continue and pass the lake hotel on the left until you reach Klughammer Straße.

At the Southern end of the road, a hiking trail leads to the Southern end of the lake. Cross the road and you will find the nature adventure trail. At the end of it, turn into Kuchlweg trail and continue until you almost reach the wine road.

Take the farm trail and at the right bend, cross the wine road. Follow the country trail and the small path until you reach St. Josef chapel. Then turn right into the narrow road until you get back to your departure point.

RASTENBACH GORGE
The Rastenbach gorge is one of the most known hiking destinations in Caldaro. The hike starts directly at Hotel Seeleiten.

From here, you walk over Sonnleiten and then past the Vogelmaierhof right into the wild gorge, where you can follow the stairs, bridges and small paths until you reach the church in Altenburg. On the Altenburg hiking trail 11 you can walk back to the starting point, Hotel Seeleiten.

PEACE TRAIL
The Caldaro/Kaltern Peace Trail leads from the car park of the St. Anton sport center through cultivated and natural landscapes through the Kardatsch valley and Rastenbach ravine all the way to San Pietro/St. Peter in Atenburg.

Seven pilgrimage points invite hikers to stop and reflect. The five main topics of the trail, Moderation, Wisdom, Justice, Faith and Hope have been depicted by local artists, in perfect harmony with the surroundings.

The sixth stop is Rastenbach ravine, and symbolizes Courage. The seventh pilgrimage point, Love, can be found at the early Christian Atenburg castle ruins of San Pietro/St. Peter, the oldest of their kind in all of South Tyrol. Solid shoes are required for this hike. Surefootedness is required in a number of places.

BIKING

More experienced bikers are off to conquer the more challenging routes, climbing the high mountains surrounding our bike hotel at Lago di Caldaro/Kalterer See.

MONTE DI MEZZO/MITTERBERG
The tour of Monte di Mezzo/Mitterberg is a cycling tour only and leads all the way around the mountain. This tour is ideal for beginners and families. First go on the cycling trail from Caldaro/Kaltern to Ora/Auer. It then leads along the lake and then rounds the Southern peak of the mountain.

The tour then continues to Adige/Etsch bridge and all the way to Ora/Auer. From there, take the Val d’Adige/Etschtal cycling trail direction North. Follow the river until you reach Bolzano/Bozen. To the North of Bolzano/Bozen, a cycling trail leads to Caldaro/Kaltern.

CISLON ALM
The cycling tour to Cislon Alpine hut requires considerable stamina and should only be undertaken by experienced mountain bikers. From the hut you can enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean part of South Tyrol and the nearby Brenta Dolomites.

The tour starts in Caldaro/Kaltern and leads via Ora/Auer to Fontanefredde/Kaltenbrunn along the former railway track. From there, continue direction Trodena/Truden and up the steep climb to Cislon Alpine hut.

The descent on no. 1 hiking trail requires good descending ability. Continue via Gleno/Glen, Villa/Vill and Egna/Neumarkt until you arrive in Caldaro/Kaltern.

BIKE TOUR TO BOLZANO/BOZEN
This 14 km long tour to Bolzano starts in Caldaro. On the family bike trail you will get to Christl im Loch and from there on a farm track through Lavasontal Valley, then left-hand to the Kreuzweg Appiano/Eppan.

Following the bike trail, you will reach the old train station of Appiano and then cross the Etsch/Adige on the old railway bridge. Turn right and then follow River Adige first on the left, then the right bank, until Bolzano.

The picturesque Valle Primavera/Frühlingstal is located in between Caldaro/Kaltern and Lago di Monticolo/Montiggler See. The valley holds its name (“spring valley”) for a reason.

As early as in the beginning of March, beautiful flowers such as snowdrops, violets, lilies of the valley and primroses blossom and turn the valley into a dreamlike scene. This is the first place where spring makes its appearance after the winter.

BLETTERBACH GORGE
Bletterbach gorge is located at the foot of Corno Bianco/Weißhorn near Aldino/Aldein, in an area widely known as the “Grand Canyon of South Tyrol”. The 400-meter deep gorge developed some 15,000 years ago. Today, many fossil finds tell a story of the various layers of rocks in the area. The hike through this 8 km gorge is a fascinating trip into times gone by.

DOLOMITES
The Dolomites, probably the most beautiful mountains in South Tyrol, are located in the immediate vicinity of our spa hotel.

LAKE GARDA
About one hour drive from our spa hotel in South Tyrol, you find Lake Garda, a great attraction and destination for a visit. If your holiday at Lago di Caldaro/Kalterer See inspires you to more (lake), then we advise you to take a day trip to Lake Garda. There you enjoy the Italian lifestyle up close as well as wonderfully fresh fish and sparkling wines!

MESSNER MOUNTAIN MUSEUM FIRMIANO/FIRMIAN
MMM Firmiano/Firmian is located in the walls of Sigmundskron Castle near Bolzano/Bozen. The museum is dedicated to the legendary mountaineer Reinhold Messner’s investigation into the relationship between man and mountain.

It tells of the history of mountaineering, Alpine tourism and warns against destructive human forces. Beside the MMM Firmiano/Firmian there are five other Messner Mountain Museums well worth a visit during a holiday at Lago di Caldaro/Kalterer See.

BOLZANO/BOZEN
Bolzano/Bozen is located at only a couple of kilometers from Caldaro/Kaltern. Bolzano/Bozen is the regional capital of South Tyrol, and a very interesting place to visit if you are interested in the local culture and history.

You can visit the Museum of Archeology with its special guest, Ötzi the Ice Man, stroll along the arches in the old town and explore the many shops, bars and restaurants, Walther square, the Dome, Runkelstein Castle, the renowned fruit market and more.

LEUCHTENBURG CASTLE
You can see the ruins of Leuchtenburg Castle from your rooms and from the park at Wellness Hotel Seeleiten. The castle was built in 1250. Today it offers breathtaking views of Lago di Caldaro/Kalterer See and of course to your Wellnesshotel Seeleiten.

MENDOLA/MENDEL CABLE CAR
The Mendola/Mendel resort, situated just above Caldaro/Kaltern, has been known for more than a century as an attractive summer destination.

The first funicular railway in San Antonio/St. Anton was built as early as in 1903. It was in use until the year 1983, and replaced by today’s facilities in 1988. It takes only twelve minutes to overcome a difference of 854 meters of altitude.
