Villa Cortine Sirmione

Villa Cortine is born in the late 1800s, when Baron Von Koseritz purchases the big five-hectare park and commissions the construction with a neoclassical facade. The villa takes its name from the hill where it lies, on the tip of the Sirmione peninsula, where there was a Roman military garrison.

Already at that time the beauty of the lake and the thermal waters attracted visitors. In 1953, the villa becomes a luxury hotel and is enlarged to carry out what nowadays is the main hotel building. Pride of the Hotel is its immense centuries-old park, of five hectares, that wraps it entirely in a whirlwind of perfumes and sensations.

Here, on the gentle slope of the hill, an exciting sensory path winds through majestic conifers and tall palm trees, Mediterranean vegetation and bushes in bloom, fountains and stretches of water, neoclassical statues and natural balconies opening onto sensational lake views. Encircled by the villa walls, our park is an unparalleled oasis of exclusive quiet and intimacy.

The restaurant – open from 07:30 to 09:30 p.m. – is housed in the historic villa, has an indoor room and an evocative patio in the greenery, with lake view. Its menu, close to local raw materials, offers fish and meat dishes, veggie dishes and a selected wine list.

AL MOLO RESTAURANT
Having a lunch by the lake, filling your eyes with the blue of Lake Garda, caressed by the sun and refreshed by a gentle breeze, tasting exquisite dishes prepared right on front of your eyes: the restaurant Al Molo awaits you on the Hotel’s jetty, next to the beach, for an elegant yet informal lunch.

The cuisine is refined and genuine, with first-quality ingredients: you can enjoy starters of fish, first courses, meat and fish dishes cooked on olive embers in the big fireplace in view. The restaurant is open only for lunch, from mid-May to mid-September, from 12:30 p.m. to 03:30 p.m.

MARIA CALLAS COCKTAIL BAR
The elegant cocktail bar of the Hotel carries the name of Maria Callas, in the 1950s an attached regular of Villa Cortine and its bar, to which our Francesco Marino dedicated a special cocktail.The bar is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a small selection of starters, first, second courses and desserts.

Here, in the small room embellished by original frescoes, polychrome glass and parquet flooring, in the outdoor colonnade or in the garden of the villa, you come to enjoy a drink, a cocktail or an aperitif, the five o’clock tea or a yummy break, in an atmosphere suspended over time.

BAR AL LAGO
Overlooking the lake, next to the restaurant Al Molo, the Bar Al Lago is a place with an irresistible appeal, open on a panorama that enchants and impresses. Covered in mosaic, heated when necessary, the pool boasts a quiet location offering a wonderful view on the lake. Equipped with beach loungers, beach umbrellas and towels, all day long the pool offers lifeguard service and bar service for drinks and snacks at poolside.

TENNIS
For those who enjoy playing tennis and wish to give vent to their passion also while on holiday, during a restoring stay by the lake, can do it taking advantage of a special location: our tennis court housed in the quiet greenery of the centuries-old park of the Villa.

The Hotel’s clay tennis court is available to customers upon reservation. It is also possible to ask for the supply of tennis rackets and balls.

JETTY

The jetty of Villa Cortine with its 500 square meters of pure beauty is the largest of all Garda: overlooking the eastern shore of the lake, on the heels of the park of the Villa, it allows enjoying sunshine from early morning hours.

A few steps away is the Bar Al Lago, for a drink under your beach umbrella, and the restaurant Al Molo, for a gourmet lunch by the lake. Open from mid-May to mid-September, our jetty is an excellent location for weddings, gala dinners and private events.
